Peru's female rugby team known as "Las Tumis" arrived in New Zealand for a training tour with a view to Lima 2019 Pan-American Games.
The athletes will be in Oceania for a 20 day-period staying at the Waikato Club —a high-performance center located in Hamilton.
Peruvians will be training at such facilities along with New Zealand team members, play practice games with them, as well as with athletes defending other clubs from such nation —which is a global power in said discipline.
The Inca team is led by coach Pablo Vila. Players Allison Pereyra, Andrea Masias, Beatriz Orcotoma, Lucy Granda, Maria Gracia Dominguez, Melissa Vargas, Michelle Flores, Natalia Correa and Raysa Gonzales are currently in the Oceania country.
It must be noted Peru's female rugby team recently claimed
bronze medal at the
2017 Bolivarian Games held in Santa Marta (Colombia) on November 11-25, 2017.
