German Bundesliga club F.C. Köln on Friday officially hired Peruvian veteran striker Claudio Pizarro, who had not found a team since his departure from SV Werder Bremen last season.

Pizza," who will turn 39 years next Tuesday, has signed a contract valid thru the end of the present season.
F.C. Köln currently ranks last in the Bundesliga, with a single point and merely one goal in six matches. It is also at the bottom of Europa League with two defeats in two games.
Pizarro is thus expected to save the squad from the ongoing goal drought.
As is known, the "Andean Bomber" is the
Bundesliga's top foreign striker, with 191 goals in 430 matches while playing for former teams F.C. Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen.
Pizarro has become one of the German league's legends.
