The Executive Branch authorized the trip of Peru's Foreign Affairs Minister Ricardo Luna Mendoza to the United States, the Vatican and the U.K. for different activities related to his sector.

According to a supreme resolution published in El Peruano official gazette, the government official will be overseas from September 15 to 26.

As is known, Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski will participate in the 72nd Regular Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) September 15-20 in New York.

In this context, Luna will take part in several meetings on September 15 in order to define the issues to be addressed and to schedule side events during those days.

After that, on September 18, he will join President Kuczynski at a meeting organized by the Americas Society/Council of the Americas (AS/COA) to talk to senior executives interested in Peru.

Likewise, the minister will attend the UN General Assembly Regular Session at UN Headquarters on September 19-20.

On the other hand, Luna will be part of the delegation accompanying President Kuczynski on his official visit to the Vatican on September 22.

Later, on September 25, Luna will attend working meetings in London (United Kingdom) to strengthen Peru's position regarding its accession to the OECD.

It must be noted Justice and Human Right Minister Maria Soledad Perez will take over the Foreign Affairs portfolio, while Luna is absent.
