The Armed Forces continue to airlift the stranded population in Piura as roads are deteriorated.
Military personnel pilot the C-27J Spartan, a military transport aircraft, to secure airlift among Piura, Trujillo and Chiclayo.
Registration of stranded people takes place at Piura's Air Group No 7 Base, where long lanes are observed since early in the morning.
Each passenger is allowed to bring one carry-on and must present an ID card in order to travel.
Antonov aircrafts, designed as a strategic airlift cargo, are being used during the airlift as well.
