Peruvian sport shooter Nicolas Pacheco took home the gold medal at 10th Odesur South American Games, taking place in Santiago, Chile.
The 19-year-old achieved the gold-medal performance in the skeet shooting competition at the Centro El Bosque venue in the Chilean capital on Sunday, Mar. 16.

Thus, Pacheco's sucess has boosted Peru's gold medal collection at Odesur to nine, improving the nation's total medal tally to 34 (9 gold, 11 silver, 14 bronze).

Pacheco has proved at Odesur he is just getting better after winning three gold medals at the 2013's edition of the Bolivarian Games which was held in Peru.

The shooting events have been so far the biggest gold medal winning sport for the Andean nation as all participating countries are heading into the final day of the Games on Tuesday, March 18th.

Brazil has taken the medal-count lead with 220 medals (92 gold, 62 silver, 66 bronze) and is followed by Colombia with 153 (49+47+57).
