Peruvian soccer fans planning to visit New Zealand for their World Cup playoff in Wellington will be able to apply for an online visa, New Zealand Embassy in Santiago reported.

This measure will be applied only for the match at Westpac Stadium —whose date is still to be confirmed— informed the embassy on its Facebook page.

Peruvians wishing to attend the clash must apply for a visa online on the New Zealand Immigration website.

The diplomatic mission announced further information will be soon released to help fans go through the visa process.

To activate their visa, Peruvians usually have to send their passport to the nearest embassy, in Washington D.C. However, the initiative will allow more of these travelers to reach the Oceania country this time.

The dates for the two play-off (home-and-away) games are slated for November 6 (Wellington) and 14 (Lima). Nonetheless, both sides requested FIFA to move the legs to November 11 and 15, respectively.
