The Vatican Secretary of State and the Peruvian Episcopal Conference (CEP) on Saturday released the official logo for Pope Francis' upcoming January 2018 journey to Peru.

Made official by the Holy See today, the logo features two hands that evoke colors of Peruvian and Vatican flags: red and yellow, respectively.

The outstretched hands are "united for hope" reaffirming the official motto for the visit

Likewise, the white background signifies peace and union between both nations.

The map of Peru and face of Pope Francis are shown on the left. They represent the closeness to Peruvians and the unity the Andean country must pursue ahead of his arrival.
