The Government is working for the welfare and development of Puno region and the entire country, said President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski during the launch of Tambo Program (social assistance services for isolated rural populations) in Suchis.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the statesman underlined the importance of providing health and drinking water services all over Peru in a bid to prevent diseases.

Likewise, he stressed the need to improve agriculture in Puno region, so as to boost the economy and welfare of local families.

"We are thinking of you, Puno, Suchis, Lake Titicaca, and the entire Peru. We've got to work and keep working to make Peru a prosperous, wealthy and healthy nation," he said.

The President toured the facilities and verified everything was ready to assist the local population and its surroundings.

At the end, he replied a few questions from the press and reiterated his Government's willingness to support the works in favor of such region.

Afterwards, Mr. Kuczynski and his delegation headed to Lake Titicaca to launch the Itinerant Social Action Platform (PIAS) — a floating facility program intended to bring State services to remote and hard-to-reach populations.
