15:31 | Miami (U.S.), Mar. 19.

Peru's national soccer team is already in the United States to face Croatia and Iceland in the first two friendlies prior to the 2018 World Cup.

Peruvian players landed in Miami after a five-and-a-half-hour flight from Lima.

They were welcomed by a large number of fans, who gathered outside Wilcox Field Airport to take a picture with them.

The arrival of FC Lokomotiv Moscow forward Jefferson Farfan was one of the most eagerly-awaited.

Likewise, supporters awaited coach Ricardo Gareca to greet and hug him.

It must be noted the Inca squad is staying at Sawgrass Grand Hotel.

Following the Croatia match, Peruvians will join training sessions in preparation for their next friendly against Iceland, which is slated to be played in New Jersey.

As is known, Peru will face Croatia at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on March 23.

Later, the national team will play Iceland at Red Bull Arena in Harrison on March 27.
