Peru reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy towards the abuse of authority that may arise in ministerial departments in the Inca country and abroad.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates its support to the zero-tolerance policy in defense of workers' rights at ministerial departments in Peru and abroad, as well as its unconditional willingness to punish every abuse of authority," the document reads.
Likewise, the Ministry renews its institutional commitment to ensuring healthy working environments at all its facilities.
Additionally, it regrets that this deplorable situation has occurred in a State diplomatic representation overseas.
TV news program Panorama presented the testimony of the Embassy staff on Sunday. They accused Quesada Seminario of mistreatment, humiliations, and even threats of dismissal.
The workers provided audio recordings to support their claims.
