Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski's approval rating increased 9% in October following Cabinet changes, the latest Datum (Pulso Peru) poll revealed Friday.
Conducted on September 29-October 3, the survey indicated the statesman's popularity went up from 22% to 31% in a month.
Such rise is evident in southern areas of the country, where the Head of State's popularity reaches 33%.
In eastern areas, the rating stands at 34%.
The leader's approval has also increased in Lima, climbing 9 percentage points to 34%.
The same can be said of central Peru, where his administration is supported by 29% of its inhabitants.
Moreover, 42% of respondents welcomed the Cabinet changes, whereas 72% believe Parliament should grant confidence vote to
Araoz team.
According to Datum General Manager Urpi Torrado, this result proves recent ministerial reshuffle was well-received by the population.
The
Cabinet will submit its working plan to Congress on Thursday, hoping to receive a vote of confidence.
