President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on Sunday sent an affectionate greeting to all Peruvian children, and reaffirmed his commitment to continue working for the future of that generation.

"Today, on Children's Day, I reaffirm my commitment to continue working for the future of all Peruvian children," the Head of State published on Facebook next to a video with reflections on the importance of caring for minors.

Mr. Kuczynski said Peru hosts 10 million children, who must be taken care of, educated, loved, respected, so that they will "have nice childhood memories once they become adults."

Peru's top official also requested citizens to celebrate Children's Day. Likewise, he reaffirmed his desire to work together so that Peruvian minors can have better opportunities, which will allow them to have access to a great future ahead.

As is known, Children's Day is celebrated nationwide every third Sunday of August.

Earlier today, the President's wife Nancy Lange sent greetings on the occasion.
