Demand for workers in commercial aviation might increase up to 30% in 2018, private-run Columbia Institute General Director Magaly Frias projected on Friday.
According to Frias, such result will be achieved if the flow of
foreign tourists to Peru rises as estimated by the Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry (Mincetur).
In this regard, she pointed out tourism is one of the major factors that contribute to commercial aviation growth.

Mincetur's official figures,
4.4 million foreign tourists will arrive in the Inca country in 2018, up by 9.8% over the previous year.
"We must bear in mind that Peru is an important point for connecting
flights and tourist traffic at the international level," Frias underlined.
"This is a great opportunity for professionals because the employability rate will grow and, therefore, the demand for personnel may increase up to 30%," she added.
In addition, Frias noted there is a large number of airlines interested in investing in the Inca commercial market since Peru is regarded as a strategic country in terms of
tourist traffic and international connections.
