Peru's Congress Chairwoman Luz Salgado on Friday wished the best to Prime Minister Fernando Zavala, who will concurrently serve as Economy and Finance Minister.
Via Twitter, Salgado wished Zavala success in his
new post for the sake of the country.
The 46-year-old will replace former Economy and Finance Minister
Alfredo Thorne, who had to resign after losing a confidence vote at Parliament last Wednesday.

Fernando Martin Zavala Lombardi is an economist graduated from Universidad del Pacifico in Lima.
The economist holds Master's Degrees from Universidad de Piura (Peru) and University of Birmingham (England).
He served as General Manager at National Institute for the Defense of Competition and Intellectual Property (Indecopi).
He was later appointed Economy and Finance Minister for the 2005-2006 period.
Concerning the private sector, he served as SABMiller CEO based in Panama, as well as Backus CEO in Lima, Peru.
