Over 30% of Peruvian fans to buy national soccer team jersey

14:46 | Lima, Apr. 23.

More than 30% of Peruvian soccer fans will purchase national team jerseys to experience excitement over the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, a Lima Chamber of Commerce's (CCL) survey revealed Monday.

In this sense, one of the first tasks was to mention which items every red-white squad supporter must own to enjoy said sporting mega-event.

The official jersey was the most important item to 32.82% of respondents, followed by those who chose a Full HD TV with sound system (26.17%), and the Panini sticker album (14.24%).

For their part, 12.58% of interviewees plan to buy a mini fridge or a grill, whereas only 10.78% would purchase a PS4 console or a last-minute flight ticket to Russia.

It must be noted more than 2,800 Peruvians were surveyed nationwide to learn about the profile of online and non-online shoppers.

The study's main aim was to find out which items Peruvians will need for this World Cup event and offer them on the coming Cyber Days campaign taking place on April 24-25.

As is known, Peru will return to a World Cup tournament after 36 years.

The Incas are placed in Group C along with Denmark, France, and Australia at FIFA's draw.
