The General Consulate of Peru in Washington D.C. recently presented the "Guide to Doing Business in Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia and Peru" in the State of Maryland, the Inca country's Foreign Affairs Ministry informed.
Prepared by the General Consulate in association with U.S. business consulting firm Bizlac and Peruvian law firm Llona y Bustamante, the business guide aims at promoting entrepreneurship among U.S. and Hispanic small and medium-sized enterprises based in the aforementioned areas.
The second part, dedicated to "Doing Business in Peru," provides a step-by-step guide on how to open a company in the Andean country, and sets out the benefits offered by the Peruvian Government to micro and small businesses.
The launch ceremony was co-organized by Maryland's Office of the Secretary of State and the Governor's Commission on Hispanic Affairs.
Maryland's Secretary of State John C. Wobensmith opened the event, which also saw the presence of the Consuls-General of Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Paraguay.
Peruvian and Latin American entrepreneurs, representatives of pro-trade organizations and different Maryland authorities were also present.
