Green day and Move Concerts company agreed to change the venue of the band's gig in Peru so that the national soccer team can use it to face New Zealand in the intercontinental play-off for Russia 2018.
This way, Green Day's November 15 performance will move to San Marcos Stadium.
"We wish the national team luck in such a
historic match. Plus, we expect to see all our fans at the same venue as our 2010 gig, for the celebration," the band informed through its agency.
Both the organizing company and the iconic band showed their support for the Peruvian team, anticipating positive results in the game.
So far, more than 20,000 tickets have been sold for their show.
Tickets are sold via Teleticket platforms at Wong and Metro supermarkets.
