Croatia coach says Farfan is a dangerous player

17:46 | Miami (U.S.), Mar. 21.

Only two days are left for the friendly between Peru and Croatia, and squads have started to outline the best strategies for the game.

In this sense, Croatian national team coach Zlatko Dalic affirmed he will intend to stop Peruvian striker Jefferson Farfan, the most feared player on the Inca team.

According to Dalic, the Peruvian squad will be an ideal opponent to put Croatians to the test in preparation for the 2018 World Cup, since the South American side is in good shape and proved it at the World Cup 2018 qualifiers.

"I wanted to play strong opponents ahead of the World Cup and we'll do so. I wanted rivals that are tactically, physically, and mentally different from most European teams […]," the coach told El Comercio newspaper.

Regarding the Peruvian team, Dalic stressed the quality of players including Farfan, whom he described as a prominent exponent, due to his experience.

"We must be careful with Jefferson Farfan, as he is the most experienced player," he stated.

"However, Peru relies on many young midfielders who are ready to show what they are made of," Dalic added.

As is known, the Incas will face Croatia at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami this Friday, March 23.
