The Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has obtained an extension of the ISO 9001:2015 Certification for enhancements in providing service to citizens in consular procedures.

Particularly, it is an achievement obtained through the services provided by the Consulate General of Peru in Los Angeles, under the guidelines of the Ministry's General Directorate of Peruvian Communities Abroad and Consular Affairs.

This certification is the result of the implementation of digital consular services aimed at the intensive use of information technologies for high-quality public service in constant evolution, as well as the modernization of processes to improve citizen service times.

In this regard, it is worth mentioning that ISO 9001:2015 Certification constitutes a quality standard that recognizes the enhancement in the provision of services to citizens through more articulated and effective procedures.

In the case of Peru's Foreign Affairs Ministry, the certificate —granted by Organismo de Certificacion de Sistemas CERPER (Systems Certification Organization)— adheres to the National Policy for the Modernization of Public Administration, in accordance with the guidelines of our Reinforced Foreign Policy (PER).
