Peruvian President meets with Belgian Prime Minister

The President of the Republic of Peru, Dina Boluarte, held a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Belgium, Bart De Wever, to strengthen foreign trade.

The session took place within the framework of the United Nations General Assembly currently underway in New York.

During the meeting, topics discussed included the importance of the Port of Antwerp as an entry point for Peruvian products into Europe and the development of investment projects between the two countries.

Subsequently, the Head of State will attend the reception to be hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump for the heads of delegation to the United Nations General Assembly.

Tomorrow, on her third day of activities, President Boluarte will hold meetings with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah.

In the afternoon, Mrs. Boluarte will attend a high-level event on climate action.

Later, she will take part in a working meeting organized by the Americas Society/Council of the Americas (AS/COA).

The Congress of the Republic authorized the Head of State to travel abroad from September 21 to 25 in order to represent Peru at the highest level in the activities held on the occasion of the UN General Assembly's 80th session.
