The meeting takes place at the Government Palace in Lima.
There, both dignitaries hold a private meeting, an extended working session, and Mr. Mulino will be decorated with the Order of the Sun in the Rank of Grand Collar, the highest distinction granted by the Peruvian State to foreign dignitaries.
On his first day in the country, the foreign top official visited the National University of San Marcos, where he received recognition for his professional career and was awarded the medal in the rank of Doctor Honoris Causa.
Mr. Mulino expressed his gratitude for the honor and recalled the bonds of friendship that unite Peru and Panama, as well as the Peruvian presence in the maritime circuit that includes the Panama Canal.
"Our countries face major challenges ahead and share a past of struggle that unites us and paves the way toward the future," he emphasized.
