The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte has renewed the Government's commitment to continue promoting formal employment so that more Peruvians can improve their quality of life for the benefit of their families and national development can be promoted.

The remarks were delivered during the ceremony marking the 75th anniversary of the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE), which took place on Monday evening at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture (Mincul).

"May this date serve to renew the commitment to continue promoting formal and decent employment, temporary employment for people in vulnerable situations, and the improvement of human capital capacities, especially of the youngest (citizens), so that more and more compatriots can be incorporated into the formal labor market," she indicated.

In this regard, the dignitary affirmed that she will entrust the Labor sector's head with the crafting of a bill to remove the requirement of work experience for graduates from universities or higher technical institutes.

"Minister (Daniel Maurate), I will entrust you with the crafting of a bill so that recent graduates from universities or technical institutes are exempt from work experience and can join our goal of improving the quality of life of professionals across the country," she said.

Moreover, the Head of State stressed the importance of the MTPE for the development of labor relations, the promotion of formal employment, and respect for the rights of all workers nationwide.

Thus, she pointed out that the sector's actions "strengthen social dialogue, employability, and the protection of vulnerable groups, one of our main goals since the first day I took office."

As part of the actions carried out, the country's top official remarked that the Llamkasun Peru temporary employment program had a budget of S/200 million (around US$53.4 million) for the first quarter of this year.

Likewise, the Peru Digital Generation Scholarship program was launched to train more than 1,000 young people free of charge in high-demand digital occupations.
