Peru: President meets with La Convencion's Amazonian Municipal Commonwealth Mayors

President Dina Boluarte met with 18 mayors from the Amazonian Municipal Commonwealth of La Convencion, Cusco region, to boost the execution of urgent projects in health, education, energy, agriculture, housing, and road infrastructure sectors.

During the gathering, Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen emphasized that the Government welcomes dialogue with the Cusco community.

"Our affection and commitment to Cusco, especially to La Convencion, is great. We have pending agreements that are being executed along with the intense rains we are addressing," he expressed.

After listening to the mayors, Adrianzen stated that the agreements from the last multisectoral meeting in La Convencion are being monitored at the Deputy Ministry of Territorial Governance.

Out of 40 announcements, 29 have been fulfilled, he highlighted. 

The meeting was also attended by Ministers Morgan Quero (Education), Cesar Vasquez (Health), Angel Manero (Agrarian Development-Irrigation), Jorge Montero (Energy-Mines), Durich Whittembury (Housing-Construction), and Leslie Urteaga (Development-Social Inclusion).

It was held at the Government Palace in Lima on Tuesday, as part of the government's policy of dialogue and open doors.
