At the Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) with the People's Republic of China,
reiterated Peru's firm commitment to actively participate in cooperation activities developed within the framework of the China-CELAC Joint Cooperation Action Plan.
Speaking to his counterparts, the ambassador underscored that since 2010 Peru has developed a bilateral relationship with the People's Republic of China within the framework of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, where coordination and political dialogue have been essential for strengthening economic and trade relations.
It is important to note that the Meeting of Foreign Ministers of CELAC with the People's Republic of China is a mechanism which fosters cooperation in areas of common interest, under the principle of mutual respect.
Meeting with Google's high-ranking executive
As part of his activities,
Foreign Affairs Minister Elmer Schialer also held a meeting with
Google's Global Vice-President of Government Affairs and Public Policy, Karan Bhatia, whom he
thanked for the joint launch of the 5,000 scholarship program on digital economy at APEC Peru 2024.
The executive thanked the Peruvian diplomat for the invitation and expressed Google's willingness to be part of this action.
He also enthusiastically welcomed the invitation to participate in the "Alliance for a Safe Internet in Peru," conveyed by Minister Schialer.
