on Friday affirmed that Peru wants to be part of the solution to the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
In this sense, the government official announced that Peru will raise at least 10 proposals during the Summit on Peace in Ukraine, to be held in Geneva, Switzerland.
Minister Gonzalez-Olaechea indicated that this presidential meeting was called by Switzerland to find pathways of dialogue that end up in peace between Russia and Ukraine.
"Peru announced in advance and has officially stated that it wants to be part of the solution (between Russia and Ukraine) when a facilitation group is established; Peru announced in advance that it will participate with the entire Foreign Affairs Ministry," he said in remarks to RPP.
Likewise, the Cabinet member stated that our country will participate in this summit both at the plenary session and the third segment on humanitarian topics.
"We are going to adjust proposals, which will not be less than 10; time is limited, so addressing these topics will be done at the plenary session, as well as at the segmented meeting, and in the hallways with other countries, foreign ministers, or heads of government," he indicated.
Besides, Gonzalez-Olaechea explained that "no immediate resolution or execution results are expected, but rather to open channels of dialogue that currently do not exist between the parties."
