The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte arrived at the Perez Aranibar Children's Home in Lima to inaugurate the 'APEC for the People Fair 2024.'

The initiative, which will run from November 13 to 16, aims to connect the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum with civil society.

In her speech, the Head of State emphasized that hosting APEC is "a great opportunity for us to strengthen Peru's image as a reliable destination for responsible investments."

These investments "boost our economy and foster development for more Peruvians," she noted.

From its leadership position in the forum, Peru has fostered "a substantive agenda with concrete results to provide our citizens with the necessary tools to harness opportunities for meaningful economic, labor, and social inclusion," Mrs. Boluarte stated.

"With this, we guarantee proper development and greater growth for our country," she added.

Opportunities and Benefits

The organization of the 'APEC for the People Fair' is part of this objective as it aims to "share with our guests and our people the opportunities and benefits that belonging to this multilateral space brings to Peru," Mrs. Boluarte indicated.

Furthermore, the top official reiterated her administration's commitment to achieving well-being for all Peruvians.

"Our path will always be one of hard work, free from corruption," she expressed.

Peru is hosting APEC for the third time after the 2008 and 2016 editions.
