Cabinet Chief Gustavo Adrianzen on Thursday stated that the implementation of the agreements reached within the framework of the APEC Peru 2024 Presidency will lead to progress towards better conditions for socioeconomic development and the population's well-being.

"That is why it is important to commit to implementing the agreements on each of the issues within its competence, and this will be the mark to remain after APEC 2024," he said.

The Prime Minister recalled that the APEC 2024 forum brought together the highest political leaders and businesspeople from the Asia-Pacific region in Lima and also facilitated bilateral meetings, which have reshaped Peru's repositioning on the international stage.

He highlighted that Peru's APEC Presidency allowed to place in the debate and decisions fundamental issues such as trade and investments, inclusive growth, innovation, digitalization to promote the transition towards a formal and global economy, sustainable growth, resilient development, food security, among others.

"The process has been an important achievement of technical teams at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the active involvement of each sector; this brings us to a challenge: we are responsible for ensuring that the agreements bring the results we are hoping for," he pointed out.

Moreover, Adrianzen noted that the mechanisms for implementing and monitoring commitments proposed by the Foreign Affairs Ministry provide the opportunity to bring forward each of the wishes expressed bilaterally and also within the framework of APEC Peru 2024.

"The national interests and the main needs of the population can be met through the implementation of agreements," he stated.
