Foreign Affairs Minister Javier Gonzalez-Olaechea stressed that the Resolute Action Plan (PAR) against transnational organized crime, adopted during the past meeting of Andean Community (CAN) ministers, is being progressively fulfilled.

The government official underlined that it is a binding agreement that had reached consensus in record time, since it was approved on the same day.

The Cabinet member indicated that it covers over 10 areas of intervention, as well as various direct and indirect action measures, "which are progressively being fulfilled in order to combat organized transnational crime."

"One of the proposals was precisely to hold this international seminar before July 28, which will provide us with insights, exchanges of experiences, and shared knowledge among Peruvian presenters and invited speakers from over eight countries and four international organizations," he stated.

The high-ranking official wished the participants success, adding that the conclusions will allow for greater clarity to address the issue of organized crime in a more direct and decisive manner.

In this regard, he specified that one of the two great priorities of this Government is "to fight against crime in any form."

In turn, President Boluarte expressed that the fight against transnational organized crime is an absolute and non-negotiable priority for her administration, while reaffirming her commitment to citizens' safety, peace, and well-being.
