To promote international investment,
stated that his office is preparing to participate in a roadshow in Europe, where it will present a US$50 billion investment portfolio for execution across various sectors.
In that regard, he explained that Peru is taking the lead in promoting projects aimed at reducing the infrastructure deficit through a package that includes key initiatives in the water, mining, and irrigation sectors, which also seek to boost the economy and enhance national competitiveness.
"(…) we took some time to analyze the upcoming roadshow we will hold in Europe. As a country, we will present a portfolio of nearly US$50 billion in projects for the coming years," Salardi stated.
In that regard, he underscored that in the coming months, the government plans to promote the awarding of 80 projects, nine contract addenda currently underway, and 13 under structuring through Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) and asset-based projects. Together, these would represent an estimated investment of US$46 billion.
Likewise, a portfolio of 22 irrigation projects was presented, with an estimated investment of US$24.061 billion.
The Cabinet member emphasized that these investments would not only bridge infrastructure gaps but also generate jobs and attract foreign capital to Peru.
He added that there are high expectations for the ongoing reforms, which would significantly shorten timelines and enable Peru to generate strong growth momentum in the medium and long term.
The roadshow will be held in London on June 2-3 and in Madrid on June 4-6, organized by InPeru.
