The
oral trial of former Lima Mayor Susana Villaran continues this Wednesday, as the Public Prosecutor's Office presents its arguments, led by Prosecutor Jose Domingo Perez.
The proceedings are being conducted by the Third National Collegiate Criminal Court, presided over by Judge Nayko Coronado.
The hearing is held in person at the Judiciary's Carlos Zavala building in Lima. It includes the participation of the defendant, Susana Villaran.
The judicial proceedings also involve 19 other individuals and 8 legal entities, including former officials from her administration and representatives of the companies involved, such as the Brazilian firms Odebrecht and OAS.
Villaran is charged with the alleged crimes of illicit association, collusion, money laundering, generic falsehood, and false statement in administrative proceedings.
