Peru's President welcomes Japan's PM at Government Palace

The President of the Republic of Peru, Dina Boluarte, on Sunday received the Prime Minister of Japan, Shigeru Ishiba, who is on an official visit to Peru.

The welcome ceremony took place at the Government Palace Courtyard of Honor, where the vehicle carrying the Asian leader arrived.

Upon arrival, the Japanese high-ranking official received the honors befitting his high office.

Following the playing of the corresponding national anthems, the dignitaries entered the Government Palace.

At that moment, the Peruvian President and the Japanese Prime Minister greeted the State ministers from both nations.

A meeting between the heads of government, as well as a working session, took place on the occasion.

The Prime Minister of Japan is visiting Peru after participating in APEC Leaders' Week, which ended on Saturday.
