A joint statement detailing new actions for advancing an Asia-Pacific economic growth agenda that benefits all of its people and future generations was issued by ministers from the
21 member economies, following the conclusion of the 2024 APEC Ministerial Meeting in Lima.
Recognizing efforts in bringing tangible outcomes that address the real needs of its people, the actions described in the joint statement chart a course for the region based on this year’s theme of "Empower. Include. Grow."

APEC is made up of:
Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, People's Republic of China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, the Philippines, the Russian Federation, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, the United States, and Viet Nam.
Together, they account for 62% of world's GDP, 48% of global trade in goods and services, plus 38% of the planet's population.
