Peru: President Boluarte welcomes Sultan of Brunei Darussalam at Government Palace

The President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte, welcomed His Majesty Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, on Tuesday morning, during his state visit to Peru.

The ceremony took place at the Government Palace Courtyard of Honor, where ministers from the two nations were in attendance.

The Sultan was received at the Courtyard of Honor with the honors befitting his rank.

The Peruvian President and the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam then entered the Executive Branch headquarters to begin a working meeting with ministers from both nations.

The state visit aims to facilitate a meeting between the two highest authorities, as well as a gathering of ministerial delegations.

Additionally, a memorandum of understanding is set to be signed for the establishment of a bilateral consultation mechanism.

Peru's top official presented the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam with the Grand Collar of the Order of the Sun of Peru, recognizing the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two nations.
