During a press conference held at Lima Convention Center on Tuesday, he provided an update on the latest Senior Officials' Meeting, which took place prior to the start of the upcoming Leaders' Summit.
Ambassador Vasquez noted that among the documents are the Joint Statement by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Leaders' Declaration, as well as two other deliverables focused on transitioning towards a formal and global economy, and a renewed approach to the APEC Free Trade Area.
Regarding these deliverables, he specified that the first would be the "most emblematic and representative of Peru's year in the APEC hosting."
Meanwhile, the free trade area document is being updated to equip member economies with the capabilities to negotiate such agreements among themselves.
Ambassador Vasquez explained that the final APEC Senior Officials' Meeting reviewed all the outcomes achieved throughout the current year.

APEC is made up of:
Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, People's Republic of China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, the Philippines, the Russian Federation, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, the United States, and Viet Nam.
Together, they account for 62% of world's GDP, 48% of global trade in goods and services, plus 38% of the planet's population.
