announced the signing of the Working Holiday Agreement between Peru and Hungary. It will allow young people from both countries to gain cultural experiences, study, and engage in temporary work activities.
Thanks to this program, young Peruvians will be able to work legally while enjoying a holiday in Hungary, developing intercultural, language, and professional skills, while also complementing their financial resources.
Similarly, the program will facilitate the arrival of young Hungarians to Peru, contributing to greater cultural exchange and strengthening mutual understanding between the two nations.
The agreement, which coincides with the 56th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, brings multiple benefits.
It strengthens bilateral ties and expands areas of cooperation between the two countries, while promoting tourism through longer stays by foreign visitors, having a positive impact on the national economy, particularly in the accommodation, gastronomy, transportation, and recreational sectors.
The agreement also promotes the development of intercultural, language, and professional skills among participating youth, generating benefits that extend beyond the personal and professional spheres and positively impact their countries of origin.
Likewise, it reflects active interinstitutional coordination among the involved national sectors, turning this agreement into a benchmark for future instruments of a similar nature.
Minister Schialer highlighted that this step reflects Peru's commitment to continue creating opportunities for international mobility for young people and to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation with Hungary.
The program will come into effect once the corresponding internal procedures in each country have been completed.
