The Ministry of Culture has approved promotional rates for national visitors, foreign residents in the country, and citizens of the Andean Community (CAN) to visit the Monumental Archaeological Complex of Kuélap, (city in Quechua language), for the entire year 2025.
This was established by Ministerial Resolution No. 000442-2024-MC, published in the Legal Resolutions bulletin of the Official Gazette El Peruano.
The general admission price to the Monumental Archaeological Complex of Kuélap + Llaqta will be 20 soles (around US$ 5.36), 10 soles (around US$ 2.68) for students, and 2 soles (around US$ 0.54) for children.
And for those opting to visit the archaeological site without entering the Llaqta will be granted free access.
The regulation specifies that the approved promotional rates will be in effect from January 1 to December 31, 2025. The resolution is signed by the Minister of Culture, Fabricio Valencia Gibaja.
The measure was approved at the request of the Decentralized Culture Office of Amazonas, which asked to continue promoting rational, moderate, and sustainable social use of the monument and facilitating visitor access. In this context, suggested to maintain promotional entry prices to Kuélap.

To access the Monumental Archaeological Complex of Kuélap + Llaqta, it is mandatory to present a valid national identity card, foreign registration card, or passport proving the legal status of being Peruvian, a foreign resident, or a citizen of one of the Andean Community of Nations (CAN) countries, as applicable.
For the student rate, valid for undergraduate level, a valid higher education card issued by Sunedu, the Ministry of Education, or an original valid card (with personal details, photo, and expiration date) from a university or technical institution belonging to a CAN member country must be presented.
The rate for children applies to those aged 3 to 17 at the time of the visit. Children under 3 years old have free admission. Minors must be accompanied by an adult responsible for their care and safety.
Visitors' stay at the Monumental Archaeological Complex of Kuélap + Llaqta will adhere to the provisions established by the Ministry of Culture through the Decentralized Culture Office of Amazonas.
