President Dina Boluarte, Cabinet Chief Gustavo Adrianzen, and State ministers participated in the cultural presentation titled "200 Years of Honor and Glory," commemorating the Bicentennial Anniversary of the Battle of Junin and Cavalry Arm Day.

During this event, Army General Commander Cesar Briceño Valdivia presented the Head of State with a gift and the book commemorating the battle's Bicentennial anniversary.

"May the memory of our heroes inspire us to confront current challenges with the same determination they showed on the battlefield, always following the path of duty, honor, and glory," Briceño Valdivia stated in his speech.

This event saw the participation of  the "Glorious Hussars of Junin" Cavalry Regiment —a historic unit of the Peruvian Army that has never been deactivated since its creation as part of the Peruvian Legion of the Guard.

The victory achieved on Pampa de Junin on August 6, 1824, by the United Liberation Army of Peru was a decisive step towards ending years of war for independence and a prelude to the final triumph in Ayacucho.
