on Monday paid tribute to the important work carried out by men and women in the countryside for Peru's agrarian development, as Farmers' Day is commemorated nationwide today.
Via a message shared on the Presidential Office's social media channels, the Head of State highlighted the global positioning of Peruvian products thanks to farmers' efforts.
Likewise, the top official expressed her utmost recognition of the important job they do to foster the country's agrarian wealth.
"This wealth, resulting from your work, ensures food security for over 33 million Peruvians and positions our country as one of the 10 main food suppliers worldwide," she pointed out.
Mrs. Boluarte stated that her Government is committed to each and every farmer, their efforts, and their development.
Therefore, she said, this administration works hand-in-hand with them to implement their business plans, strengthening their business management and providing them with the necessary tools so that they can become more competitive.
"Similarly, we boost the economic empowerment and autonomy of our rural and indigenous sisters, giving them the opportunity to consolidate their productive ventures," Mrs. Boluarte underscored.
"We want to see our agriculture shine, grant it the place it historically deserves and thereby foster the true development that our homeland demands," she added.
In this regard, the top official expressed that her administration will continue fighting to preserve and optimally use water, unlocking large irrigation projects for agricultural lands.
Mrs. Boluarte said this will be possible in unity, since it is the way to achieve the great objectives required by Peru and deserved by the following generations.
