Peru: President Boluarte praises police work on rescuing entrepreneur

The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte welcomed the rescue of entrepreneur Jackeline Salazar which took place Friday evening.

Via social media, the Head of State highlighted the work carried out by the Peruvian National Police in this case.

"We will continue working for a safer Peru," reads a message issued by the Presidential Office on the X platform (formerly Twitter) last night.

This message underscored "the immediate action and impeccable intelligence work by our Police."

Law enforcement agents located the kidnapped woman and arrested four people allegedly involved in her abduction.

The operation was carried out inside a property in Lima's Carabayllo district, where the kidnappers allegedly kept Salazar awaiting a response from her relatives regarding the payment of ransom.
