Education is a tool for transformation and empowerment, which has the capacity to provide opportunities that renew people's perspectives with favorable goals and outlooks.

Aware of that, the Peruvian Government, in alliance with Google and Women in Tech, launched a program so that 5,000 citizens can access training scholarships for business projects developed with artificial intelligence.

"I thank this transnational company for its interest in the personal development of youth. I am convinced of the success that this scholarship program, launched today within the framework of APEC for the People, will have," President Dina Boluarte expressed.

The Head of State participated in the presentation of this initiative at the Foreign Affairs Ministry headquarters in Lima.

The top official recognized the work of the Ministry in promoting the growth of more Peruvians through coordination with a multinational technology company like Google.

"We will continue forging the path towards prosperity and, together, we will achieve building a better Peru," she stated.

The president indicated that 50% of these scholarships will be allocated to women, especially those who are in vulnerable conditions.

The selection of future beneficiaries will be in charge of the Women in Tech organization.

Artificial intelligence has high potential to drive economic growth and generate new opportunities in the emerging market.

In turn, Foreign Affairs Minister Javier Gonzalez-Olaechea stated that this alliance is a concrete example of how essential cooperation between the State and the private sector is in the search for the common good.

"The 5,000 Google scholarships will enable their beneficiaries to acquire skills in digital economy, which are absolutely essential in the nascent disruptive era," he underscored.
