Peruvian Ministers Javier Gonzalez-Olaechea (Foreign Affairs) and Daniel Maurate (Labor and Employment Promotion) held a meeting with International Labour Organization (ILO) Director-General Gilbert F. Houngbo in Geneva.

At this gathering, Peru's election as member of the global entity's Governing Body was welcomed.

Similarly, the South American country's commitment to the organization's goals was reaffirmed.

It was also indicated that Peru actively participates in ILO's Global Coalition for Social Justice.

Its objective is to generate additional political commitments, promote concrete measures, as well as serve as a forum for dialogue and exchange to balance the economic, social, and environmental dimensions of sustainable development.
