will jointly organize an international course to strengthen informatics capabilities in public health in five Latin American countries.
This first-level training follows a similar experience recently carried out in Eastern European countries, and this time Peru will host the in-person phase.
A total of 34 professionals with experience in public health or epidemiology will participate in the event. They will be selected by the respective health authorities of Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Peru.
Information systems professionals and data scientists with work experience in the health sector's management are also included.
The academic program will begin on June 15 and last one year, featuring content that emphasizes the importance of data analysis for decision making.
Likewise, it features interoperability and global standards in IT, data science methods, data governance and exchange, project management, among others, oriented towards public health with a regional focus.
