The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Friday stated that her administration is focused on solving Peru's problems and reducing poverty gaps, this being her Government's line of action.

Remarks were made during "El Perú se Abriga - Frío Cero" (Peru Wraps Itself Up - Zero Cold) campaign launch event led by Mrs. Boluarte in Lima's Villa Maria del Triunfo district.

"That is the line that we have set as a Government; we have no other interests; we are focused on solving the homeland's problems and narrowing poverty gaps," she stated.

The Head of State explained that this intervention has the purpose of bringing State-run services closer to the population, through the involvement of eight ministries.

"We cannot be indifferent, we cannot look away and say 'it's not my problem,' it's our problem and we must solve it. Let's put ourselves in the shoes of those who feel cold, and how do we solve it? By providing jobs, entrepreneurial opportunities, shedding selfish interests, and betting on the homeland's unity," she expressed.

Mrs. Boluarte explained that, in order to work for Peru, it is necessary to have a calm homeland, because in that calmness investments can arrive; with these, poverty can be addressed in a multidimensional manner, something that other former presidents had not done.

"In this campaign, involving eight ministries, we are prioritizing 49 areas hosting human settlements in 13 districts of Metropolitan Lima, focusing specifically on those high-risk zones susceptible to low temperatures," she indicated.

The top official argued that, as part of this campaign, families will be registered and warm (clothes) will be provided to be able to face the winter in the capital.

In addition, Mrs. Boluarte explained that they also have the support from the private sector, such as the National Fisheries Society, which will provide six tons of fresh fish to the vulnerable population.
