Celebrating its 36th anniversary, Inkaterra, a Peruvian sustainable tourism company, has launched its third album CD called Fiesta Inkaterra, with the participation of renowned Peruvian rock singer Miki Gonzalez.
The Peruvian musician and producer has studied traditional Afro-Peruvian music for over thirty years and has specialized in Andean music since 1990.
He has launched numerous hit records, fusing these genres with different musical styles such as jazz, pop and electronic.
Fiesta Inkaterra is a compilation of traditional genres from the coast, the Andes and the jungle of Peru in an electronic-beat style.
Gonzalez uses Peruvian native music such as the Dance of the Scissors, ethnic rhythms from the Amazon Boras, the diablicos of Muchumi, Ucayali Shipibos, the Valicha, and bird songs from the cloud forest of Machu Picchu.
Miki Gonzalez's CD continues Café Inkaterra album's goal to create a national culture of an authentic Peruvian music style with chill out influence, marking a new path in Peruvian music, which mixes the country's diverse cultural influences with musical styles from different times and places.
