Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on Monday met with FIFA Chief Gianni Infantino, who is visiting the Inca country to participate in an official event.
According to a tweet posted by the Head of State, the audience served to discuss the Government's efforts to keep young people away from gangs
through sports.
On this occasion, Mr. Kuczynski received a soccer jersey with his last name and N°10 on the back. As is known, this number is traditionally reserved for the best player of a team.
The meeting was held at Lima-based Government Palace.
Prior to said gathering, Infantino met Congress Chairman Luis Galarreta at the Legislative Palace.
Infantino arrived in Lima on Monday morning to attend FIFA Executive Football Summit.
This event's schedule includes the review of women's and youth competitions, the transfer system, and the international match calendar, among others topics.
